Is my Mutare software solution affected by the Heartbleed vulnerability?

There is a significant security vulnerability called "Heartbleed" putting data at risk across the internet. Mutare takes this issue and all reports of potential security risk seriously. Our technical team at Mutare quickly assessed the potential impact of this issue on our systems and services. We're happy to report that our systems were not at risk and that your data remained secure at all times.

For hosted solutions, such as Vital Link and our hosted EVM and giSTT solutions, none of our systems were affected by this vulnerability.

For on-premise solutions, such as EVM, Archive, Message Mirror, custom IVR solutions, ENS, Password Reset, etc., none of the Mutare solutions utilize the OpenSSL software. Our solutions utilize Windows SSL, which uses Schannel and was not affected by Heartbleed. Our on-premise giSTT solutions utilize a version of OpenSSL that was not affected by Heartbleed.

Here is a more detailed write-up of the Mutare efforts from our Chief Technology Officer, Roger Northrop.
